MD & The Healers (a.k.a. MD & THC) is a reggae / world fusion beat collective featuring members of Russian - Ukrainian - Lithuanian + ... descent functioning between NYC and Catskills. Formed in 2017, the band has played a number of gigs and participated in several festivals, gaining local recognition both in New York City and Upstate.

MD & The Healers' music is often compared to Stick Figure, Dub Pistols, Tribal Seeds, Dreadzone, Fortunate Youth, The Skints, The Movement, Rebelution, SOJA, Easy Star All-Stars, Meta And The Cornerstones, G Ras and Riddim Colony, as well as such genre classics as Bob Marley, Black Uhuru, Burning Spear, Eek-A-Mouse, Sugar Minott, Ijahman Levi, Barrington Levy and Steel Pulse.

 

The band’s discography includes an EP and two singles released via Rebel Sound Records. MD & The Healers is currently working on a new album.
